    Hi:

I'm on day 4 of doing 1-2-3 and am loving it so far! I was wondering if a Zoneperfect bar can substitute for a snack. I'm loving the Chocolate Chip and M&M cookies but I'm pretty sure that the plain Bagel Chips aren't going to be a favorite "before I go to bed" snack since I really like having something sweet.

Sue, if you're out there - can I use regular cocoa powder to make the sweet version of the Bagel Chips or did you use something special? I like the idea of chocolate with cayenne pepper so your "recipe" sounds excellent!

Thank you and have a great day.

    Hi Marsha,

Good to hear from you. Isn't it great? And it's so easy. :-)

Those bars would not be a good substitute for a ZoneFast 1-2-3 snack. If you eat them, consider them to be unfavorable carbohydrate. The Dr. Sears Zone bars sold on this site would be fine to eat. They have been designed to provide hormonal control.

BTW, the cocoa powder and cayenne bagel chip recipe is not a sweet snack; it's more like a hot spicy one with a hint of cocoa. Yes, you could use any cocoa powder you like, though flavors will vary between brands and types of cocoa powders (raw vs Dutched, which means is has been treated with alkali).

Marsha, how about a scoop of cottage cheese with some blueberries and sliced almonds on top?
