I was just looking at the ingredients in the new Zone Foods. All of them are allergens for me - dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, sugar, additives, etc. Sure wish Dr. Sears would invent something for the many thousands of us who are seriously reactive to these ingredients. Sigh. And I wish most of the forum discussions would go back to talking about the "old-fashioned" Zone (meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, oils), before all the obsession on this new processed stuff came about. I have begun to feel somewhat alone. I empathize with all the rest of you out there who have these same issues. Just sayin'.

    Hi Dawn,

Feel free to join in and begin the kinds of topics you'd like to discuss. These forums are for everyone. Many people posting here are exclusively eating the classic Zone meals. :-)

    Dawn, I am with you!

I don't have those issues, but I truly believe in the "classic zone". So, don't feel alone.

Hi Sue, Thank you for your invitation.
Sorry to be such a grouch in that last post. I will dig deeper for the posts on the classic Zone.

And thank you too, Cran. I must say that even though these products have been available for a while, I am still in somewhat of a stunned state about the introduction of these products to the site, but I guess they are helping some people, and that is the point of them. I will need to stick to my Paleo-Zone. If I may ask, how are you doing on your Zone plan? Have you reached your basic goals?

    Thanks,
    Dawn

Hi Dawn, "I guess they are helping some people, and that is the point of them"

Great insight and you hit the nail on the head with your comment above. Any way we can help to reduce inflammation in this oversized nation of ours, is a good way. If your prefer classic zone, go for it. The baked products have helped lots of people so they are a great option for people too. Choice is a wonderful thing.

Dawn, I continue to reach all of my goals except for the weight loss, I am still working on that.

My motivation to enter the Zone is more than weight loss... my family genes are leading me towards diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. With the Zone, my lipids are in great shape, and I have not developed diabetes at all, even though I am at high risk of developing.

I tried the zone products, and they didn't impress me at all. I have struggled to manage hunger at times, and these products did not help with hunger control--and I didn't lose any fat when I used them. I tried the products for a month without success.

I feel more in the Zone with real food than with any processed food, so my overall goal is to eat as much unprocessed food as I can. So, I no longer use the zone products, haven't even used a zone bar for over a year (and I did like them a lot).

It's great news that you are doing so well. I, too, am at high risk for diabetes and high blood pressure.
And I really liked the Zone Bars, but I reacted to them because of the soy and other stuff. Life goes on and we keep trying.

    Thanks, Cran.
