My shipment should arrive early this week but today is my shopping day - what should I be purchasing to go with the plan? Thanks so much. |

OK, now that I have the 2 weeks of the 1-2-3 Zone Foods - I have questions: - The 2 week meal planner says 3 meals and 1 snack only - I called Customer Service and they told me that the nighttime snack is no longer necessary. (?) - I noticed Sue's plan still includes her 3 meals and snacks. - Should I be making these foods work within my 11 block a day needs or following the 2 week meal planner? - Should I no longer be thinking blocks and be thinking in terms of grams? - I ordered the Omega and Polyphenols, should I take them right away or wait a week or two? (I may be making this more difficult than it is) |

No need to over think it. Here are the answers to your questions. The evening snack's not necessary for most women because, if you include 1 diner selection (pasta or pizza; they include twice as much P, C adn F as the other selections) each day together with the other 3 selections and some grocery additions as shown, you will have approximately an 11 block day give or take. I require 13 blocks a day, so I follow the men's plan, which contains more food (it includes the evening snack). Also, I split the pasta and pizza selections in half so I can work in snacks to support my exercise without going over my daily protein requirement (I actively exercise, and more than one session on many days). Don't think in terms of blocks or grams. Just follow the sample planner and the easy Zone 1-2-3 instructions. The macronutrients are all figured out for you by the plan. Before you know it you'll be choosing meals automatically without even thinking about it. You should take the Omega Rx and polyphenols right away; no need to wait. |

Sue, I wanted to follow up with you since you were so kind to answer my questions. ITS WORKING!!!!! I'm losing weight and yesterday was my first day of non-hunger between meals. Being hypothyroid and not being able to work out lately - this is awesome. The Zone foods have made it so easy and the key - they are so filling. Thx again, you rock! |

Kelly, thanks for the update. It's almost unbelievable isn't it? I'm still amazed by how great I feel. I have hypothyroidism too, and I'm leaner than even since eating these foods for the last 6 mos. To learn more take a look at my 2 ZoneFast journals here, and at my ZoneFast meal photos (click on the pizza photo link on my signature). Keep the updates coming and have fun with it! |

Kelly, I was wondering if the zone 123 foods are really working for you. I just started with my first multi grain bagel this morning. I am really intrigued by these foods. I know the zone works and I feel great when I am "zoning", but to be honest, it never came easy for me to plan ahead for my meals and throw them together when I was starving. That's why I dove in and ordered my first 2 wk supply. I'm hoping they jump start me back into the zone, and eventually I'll just use them to supplement the original plan. |

I think the 2 week package is a great way to sample everything. I started off the first week going strictly with the 123 plan - now I am incorporating the 123 foods with my own foods. That way I can see which products I will re-order - they are all great, but I know myself and I'm a "throw together" type of meal person. My work schedule can vary from hour to hour so I don't have the luxury of pre-planning either. Doesn't mean I can't Zone though! I just keep boiled eggs, deli meat, tuna etc for protein. Particularly wonderful are the new Zone breads and Sandwich Rolls as I can use them for a quick sandwich, adding 1 bl each of P/C & F and head out the door. The breads are definitely a keeper. AND I'm losing weight, feeling better and the foods leave me full! Let me know how they work for you! |
