A long time ago, I read Mastering the Zone, and I believe it said that one could play around with the block portions if you were still hungry (add 1 carb block) or tired (take away 1 carb block) after a meal. I tended to be hungry after about every meal and snack, so I've just started adding a block of carbohydrates and around 1/2 fat block to every zone meal and snack that I eat. It's working like a charm. I'm not tired, and I now I'm not hungry between meals or snacks.

My question is: If I add 1 block of carbs and 1/2 block fat to every 3 block meal, is it now considered a 4 block meal?

I've also had to add 1 block of carbs and 1/2 block fat to snack of 1 Zone Bar. I was always hungry after eating a bar, but not after adding the extra carb and fat. Is this considered a 3 block snack instead of 2?

    Thanks!

It's great that you've been able to resolve your hunger.

They would still be considered a 3 block meal and 2 block snack. Think of it as labeling them according to the amount of protein in the meal or snack.

After eight years in the zone, improving each I can say I master the zone and even I don´t crave out of the zone meals or desserts, sometimes I feel stressed for being in the zone all the time, I would like once in a while to go out to dinner and order whatever but I´m now taking antidepressants and my metabolism is slow, I don´t want to gain weight, do you think I can relax in few meals? Grateful for your comments

Its OK to have a cheat meal now and then.
However, the next meal or snack should be zoned.
It wouldn't be life without enjoying a little indulgence now and then.
Some might make it a point to indulge one meal per week.
