Hello everyone, it's been too long since the last time that I check on the forum. I have been thinking on giving a try to these Super Foods but I wanted to check on what others have to say about them. I am excited but I am just wondering as far as weight loss how succesful have you been? How many inches/pounds have you lost using this kind of food? Well, have a great day to everyone here.

    Hi Marie,

I've been in the Zone for 15 years, maintaining my weight around 24-26% body fat (I lost 100 pounds during my first 2 years in the Zone. 4 months ago I decided to give the new Zone foods plan a try, out of curiosity. I didn't expect to lose any more weight, but to my surprise, I've lost about 15 pounds since I started the new plan witn the new Zone foods! They're amazing! I'm feeling better than even. I love the convenience and ease, the foods are delicious, and most of all, I love the way I feel. I just can't say enough good things about it. It's fantastic!

I forgot to ask, so by using this food it is more like a vegeterian plan? Also, what do you think about eating with this food while pregnant? (I am not but I want to be, soon )

Vegetarian, it can be if you want it to (I prefer it that way), but it doesn't have to be. The ZoneFast plan instructions say you can add more protein to any meal (meat, poultry, fish, egg white etc.).

Pregnant, I hadn't ever thought about it. You could call Zone Labs and ask (use the number at the top of this page). Note the when pregnant you need to add at least 1 fully balanced block to every Zone meal.

Please let us know how you like the foods and the plan.

    Good luck!

Hi! I'm recently new to the Zone products. i've ordered the foods -- delicious! BUT, I'm having trouble staying on track (not cheating) and therefore haven't lost any weight. I'd like to lose 25 pounds of baby weight -- I have 2 y/o twins and an 8 month old.... Probably why I'm having trouble!! Does anyone have any advice? I started AGAIN on track yesterday and am really wanting this to be the last time I fall off the wagon!!!

liz, just a thought, but if you're breastfeeding your 8 month old you'll need to eat amounts more like that of a typical man in the Zone. Also, depending on your LBM and activity level, you may need to eat more than than average women even if you're not breastfeeding. A quick way to find out if you're eating enough is to use the calculator in the TOOLS tab above. If you're breastfeeding, add about more 3 blocks daily to your calculator result.

    Good luck!

    Thanks sue!

i'm not breastfeeding and my activity level is just starting -- other than the running around with the kids. I also work full time as a teacher and have HIGH stress levels!! I'll check the tools above but PLEASE keep the advice coming!

You're welcome. If you'd like to post your menu from a recent day (everything you ate) I'll be happy to take a look. What is your LBM? (You can easliy determine it with the calculator.)

Couple of thoughts for Marie and Liz,

First, one question was regarding success with the new foods. I only see one person here reporting success. On the other hand, I will tell you that I tried these foods for a month and did not have any success at all. I was solidly in the Zone in January, then switched to these foods in February and had a very difficult time staying in the Zone with these foods. Now, in March, I have been trying to get back on track, and seem to be finally moving in a positive direction again.

Second, Liz, you could be responding to the stress, since you indicated that you have a high level of stress. So, if it is more to do with this, then you would maybe want to approach it from the angle of stress reduction techniques. Stress produces cortisol, and high levels of cortisol will boot you right out of the Zone, even if you have the best of intentions.

    Just my 2cents worth...
