An easy idea would be to pack some of those tuna pouches, each one is approximately 3 blocks of protein. Then, you can bring along some fruit, maybe an apple, for your carb, and some nuts for the fat. If you are interested in a salad, you could do one similar to one that I like: TUNA GARBANZO SALAD 1 can tuna, 6 oz 2 cups celery, chopped 1 cup onion, chopped 3/4 cup garbanzo beans 2 oz shredded fat free cheese 1 1/2 cup tomato, chopped 2 tsp olive oil 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar salt/pepper/parsley to taste (if you are not excited about putting tomato in this, then you could sub in a red pepper, same color, but perhaps a different taste) In a large bowl, drain tuna and flake. Add the veggies, mix together. Mix the olive oil and vinegar, pour over the salad, season and blend it all together. |
