Hi Everyone! Today begins my 12th week in the SuperZone. It's been an amazing couple of months for me. The SuperZone has taken my zoning to a new level. I've become even leaner over the past two months and I'm feeling fantastic! I've been keeping a SuperZone food and exercise journal and posting some of my daily entries in various forums here. This thread will make my journal easier to find. Feel free to comment and ask questions. Have a great day everyone! |

Saturday, January 23, 2010 B: 2 slices of cinnamon swirl bread, toasted, with a sliver of butter melted on top S: cinnamon toast bagel chips with a little light cream cheese walk Lunch: ½ recipe Orzo with Fresh Herbs and Tomato (see my SuperZone recipe thread...I'll be posting it ther later today) Vestibular PT exercises S: Tzatziki Nachos (see my SuperZone recipe thread) Strength training, lower body Dinner: Zucchini, Feta and Tapenade Sandwich (see my SuperZone recipe thread) Vestibular PT exercises; also exercised with the foam roll S: 2 chocolate chunk cookies warmed in the microwave |

S: Medwell 1-2-3 Peanut Butter Granola S: ½ cinnamon bun Vestibular PT exercises More vestibular PT exercises Yoga Dinner (late): SuperZone Zesty Shrimp Gazpacho (eliminated tomato, increased cucumber, eliminated croutons), ½ cinnamon bun S: 2 Heath bar toffee cookies warmed in the microwave (They're my favorite SuperZone cookies this week!) |

Saturday January 30, 2010 B: granola with some fresh blackberries and a little WestSoy Chocolate Unsweetened Soy Milk Supplements Vestibular PT exercises.1 S: granola walk Lunch: 1/3 container Trader Joe’s fresh made low fat chicken Barley and Vegetable Soup, plus a lettuce and baby spinach salad with chopped tomato, a small amount of SuperZone croutons and 1T of Trader Joe’s fresh made Raita for dressing, plus a toasted onion bagel with 1T garden veggie light cream cheese. I felt great, and, as usual, was not at all hungry 5 hours later when I ate my snack that follows here. SUE~ I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET ON HERE AND LOG ON. HAD SOME HEALTH PROBLEMS BUT THAT'S ALL OVER WITH. I WAS LURKING DURING THAT TIME AND LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THE PICS OF YOUR GS'S BIRTHDAY. I FORGET NOW WHAT IT WAS CALLED. HE IS JUST TOO ADORABLE. THANKS FOR DOING THIS THREAD. I TALKED TO MY NUTRITIONIST AND HE SAID TO GIVE IT ALL ANOTHER CHANCE NOW THAT I AM OFF ALMOST ALL MEDS. MAYBE ONE SZ MEAL @ DAY TO BEGIN WITH. SO WHEN I CLICK ON SUBMIT...I AM GOING TO PLACE MY ORDER. I WAS AT TRADER JOE'S YESTERDAY AND THOUGHT OF YOU. WE GO ONCE A MONTH ON THE 1st THURSDAY. Hi Mel! It's so good to hear from you. :-) Yes, Eli's Dol celebration. We had so much fun that day. Glad you enjoyed the photo. It's great that you're off almost all the meds. Congrats! TJ's, it’s still one of my favorite places to shop. I was thinking about posting another list of some of the foods I like to buy there. In fact I have a TJ's receipt from a couple weeks ago, right here next to my lap top, to remind me to submit a post about it. The Zone foods have been spectacular for me. I’m going to post a pizza recipe I made yesterday, as soon as I have the time to write it up. It included the TJ’s Marinated Grilled Eggplant the Zucchini (a frozen veggie selection). I rinse it prior to assembling the pizza, because I contains a bit to much omega 6 oil. Keep us updated and good luck! |

Gosh you eat well! Can you please tell me; what is the Medwell 1-2-3 brownie? Is there a recipe for this? Thanks in advance, and I do enjoy all your posts with hints and recipes. You truly are the poster child for the Zone diet, and your enthusiasm is so contagious!
It's always nice to read about weight loss success stories!
P.S. I love all of Dr. Sears' books and hope he will come out with another. I have learned so much from him. |
