    Hi All,

I want to include almonds for protein and fat. As mentioned in the link http://caloriecount.about.com/calor...nds-i12061

It has both monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. Is it fine it has polyunsaturated fat?

And can the protein can be utilized from almonds? or i need to have chicken for that?

Almonds are a very favorable fat. Many of us add them to our meals or as part of our snack.
    3 almonds = ~ 1.5g fat. 6 almonds = ~ 3g fat.
Do not count the protein in almonds.

If your protein source is Fat-Free, then use 6 almonds for every 7g (1 block) of protein. If you protein source is lo-fat, as most do have some fat inherent, then use 3 almonds for each 7g (1 block) of protein.
    .
You basically should have about 3g mono-Fat for each block of Protein.
