How many grams is a whole slice of bread?? I have slices that are 100 gr each and also ones from eight watchers that are about 50.... not clear what i am supposed to do.

Each brand is a bit different. Use the label on your package of bread. And, make sure you are using zone guidelines, that is no more than 25% of your carbs coming from unfavorable foods (like bread). So that might be 1/2-1 slice, depending on the bread.

Right, don't worry about the calories. Use the NET Carbs - which are the usable Carbs. Total Carbs minus the Fiber = NET Carbs.

marieta, the easiest way to decide how much bread to eat, if you choose to eat it, will be to follow the Zone food block list and simply call it 1/2 slice per block, regardless of the actual number of grams in each slice. Exact gram counts of carbohydrate are not necessary to be successful in the Zone. When it comes to bread, the less you eat, the better your Zone results, with the exception of SuperZone breads.

Thank you for youtr replies. Unfortunatelly I am in London and not sure if I can find the special breads here. Anyone knows??

Unless this has changed, I believe that the bread items are only available in the US. You can only order the breads online.
