    Hi,

I believe I've done a good job of getting and staying in the zone with one exception, cereal. I have always and still do have cereal for breakfast.

Is there a similar alternative? Something like the Zone cereal or am I just dreaming?

Nevermind, I just saw that there is a zone cereal. I was just expecting it to be under the superzone foods breakfast items.

    Hi Cindy,

They're not available in stores. I have a friend from another country who has had a Zone order shipped to her hotel in NYC when she was visiting the US.

Zone Cereal can be found in select grocery stores. You might have to search for it, but it is sold by a company called "Nutritious Living", and perhaps you can google their website and find a store locator, or even call them up to find availability in stores.

If you are unable to find zone cereal and can't get products shipped, I have done well with Kashi Go Lean by just adding some sliced almonds.

Netrition dot com carries "Nutritious Living" cereals. (These are the same folks who carry the full line of Dreamfield's pasta.)
    .
416-0001 - Nutritious Living - Dr. Sears Zone Cereal, Honey Almond -
    10 oz - $4.59
    416-0002 - Nutritious Living - Hi-Lo 100% Natural Cereal, Original -
    12 oz - $4.59
    416-0003 - Nutritious Living - Hi-Lo 100% Natural Cereal, Strawberry -
    10 oz - $4.59
    416-0005 - Nutritious Living - Hi-Lo Cereal, Maple Pecan - 10 oz -
    $4.59
    416-0004 - Nutritious Living - Hi-Lo Cereal, Vanilla Almond -
    10 oz - $4.59
    .
    Dr Sears Zone Cereal, 3/4 cup: P=14, F=7, C=16-5=11
    Hi-Lo Vanilla Almond, 1/2 cup: P=12, F=2, C=13-7=6
    ......Hi-Lo Original, 1/2 cup: P=12, F=1, C=13-6=7
    .
Looking at these, personally, it looks like if one wanted to have cereal that Hi-Lo is a decent alternative.
Both have similar list of ingredients, with Soy Grits listed first (Highest % of ingredient is listed in descending order on USA food labels.)
    .
And at 1/2 cup vs. 3/4 cup (serving size) and 10oz vs. 12oz (original) - a slightly better value.
    .
Thanks Cran - for letting us know about Nutritious Living.

You're welcome, John. And thanks for the added info. I think I have tried the HI-LO before, I don't remember for sure but I think there is some artificial sweetener added in there, but I could be wrong. Yes, it is a decent alternative, sometimes it is easier to find than the 40-30-30 cereal or the Zone cereal.
