Hey Sue!
I can’t wait for the brownies!
Oh,can you point me in the direction of that recipe for the Lemon Hummus Avocado Sandwich recipe made with a bagel?
BTW:Have you tried all the cookie flavors? Was going to place an order for them, not sure which I should try.

The Brownies arrived today at home (532pm EST..not that I was really tracking it..lol) by UPS!!...I ordered directly from the medwell123.com site last week before the holiday. Let's just say I know what my snack this evening is going to be and I'll report back in the reviews section as well.

I think that Brownies tend to be a very subjective product in terms of what individual people like. Some like them kinda cakey vs. those that like gooey, mushy, etc.. so all i can say is what my thoughts are..

i'm thinkin about warming it up in the microwave briefly..might be the way to go

Mike, how about you microwave half of it half so you get to see what it's like both ways...and then tell us, lol!

lol..I was at the gym..and after my workout, went for it. I brought the brownie along so no microwave tonight. Anyway, I thought it was quite good. It's more on the cakey side than a gooey fudgy type. But it's not that dry and has a moist softness to it. The texture and mouth-feel were really good. It doesn't have a "chemical" taste either like a traditional snack type processed food would have in the supermarket. To me, since I rarely have something like this, it tasted really indulgent..made me think it would have been good with walnuts, but that obviously would alter the fat content.

I'm sure I had a a grin on my face while I was eating it, thinking I can't believe this has 7g fat, 14g protein, and 21g carb. i don't mind other meal replacement or protein type bars, but I don't think they taste nearly as good as this. So to be clear..lol, I'm giving it a thumbs-up if there was any question.

**Also for lunch today, I tried the multigrain flatbread that I toasted..i thought that was excellent as well.

Microwaving has instead been rescheduled for tomorrow evening.

Thanks Mike.

I still amazed at how well they keep me in the Zone. They’re fantastic, and they all taste so good!

Have you had the peanut butter chip cookies? They're my favorite this week. My favorite last week was coconut choc chip, and before that, milk choc chunk. Now that I'm thinking about it, I've just decided to bring the M&M cookies with me for a snack today. Looks like I'm saying I like all the cookies, huh? (I do!) I like that they're chewy and crunchy at the same time, I love the chips and things that are added, and most of all like how they're sweet but not too sweet...just right. My family has different styles of eating them, ranging from just quickly taking a bite to slowly savoring the cookie and even nibbling the chips and nibbling chunks out (this last one is me, lol!).

Last night for dinner I had a BLT made with the multigrain bread. Very good!

Sue,

Yes..I've tried all the cookies at this point...the peanut butter cookies are excellent. I think I like the milk chocolate chunk the best. At this point, the only product I haven't tried yet is the peanut butter granola, since I've sampled everything else.

Ironically, i ordered the PB granola (as a 5 pack) since the regular "original" granola was substituted for it in my 1st weekly autoship. I think it was out of stock at the time. So i ordered "a la carte" and I got the original granola again instead. It may be in short supply or it was just a glitch in packing / shipping...not a big deal..I think I can survive

As far as the breads go, they are all good, but I think I tend to lean toward the multigrain versions over the white..the exception to that is the sesame bagel which is excellent and I think the best way to enjoy smoked salmon (if you like it). Since I like sesame, (a lot!) the multigrain sandwich roll has sesame seeds and is really good toasted...what isn't good toasted ?

Anyway to buy a medwell t-shirt or hat ? just an idea ? i think the logo is cool.could be nice on a grey t-shirt or a navy baseball cap (that's just my fashion sense at work)..or some kind of rewards program with points based on purchases of product where you can pick out gear like that..gym bag, etc..I guess I like to promote brands that I enjoy. i realize it's kinda a fledgling company at this point, getting going, but it's a good way to get the word out also (IMO)

i work in the technology field..all the companies get these items made, etc..for customers, partners

Mike, Medwell gear...you're on the wrong site, lol. It's SuperZone here. :-) I've eaten most everything too. Only ones I haven't had yet are plain croutons, brownies and pb granola. I love the sesame bagels, too (especially with light cream cheese and smoked salmon). Also really like the pretzels slightly warmed in the microwave. Also the cinnamon bread toasted.

Lucy,

Sure..compared to buying a standard loaf in the supermarket or even a fancy artisan type loaf, it's expensive. That item you refer to has 5 separate packages and each pack has two slices..so it's only ten small (but filling) slices of bread. I like the fact the servings are individually wrapped so I don't break open an entire loaf from the store that goes bad in a week or less. I'm divorced, so sometimes it's just me eating.

Additionally, there are some "good" products in stores now that are lower in refined carbs that could be more easily incorporated into the zone..like the Flatout Wraps, etc..not always the easiest to find though

I guess you can consider, that if you were to order these products from the medwell123.com site, women can order a week of products (variety pack) for $56 plus shiping which is less than $10 a day...assuming you do an autoship, but it doesn't have to be weekly frequency.

I could easily go to a Panera bread type restaurant for lunch (during a work day) get a salad, small soup, etc.. and an iced tea..it's more than $10 just for that one meal. So from that perspective, I'm not eating out, but it may be the way I rationalize it. Obviously, just going to the grocery store and preparing your own meals is going to be less expensive.

Actually Mike, it's sold here on this site in a whole loaf for $14 (autoship price). The loaf contains at least 7 meals, making it $2 a meal. For those who aren't familiar with SuperZone foods, P, C and F are all included in the bread in Zone balanced proportions,

that's interesting..same price and quantity though..just different packaging. Maybe, it's available that well thru medwell123.com and I wasn't aware. At this point, all the bread servings I received are all individual servings/meals

You can eat them either way Jesse, on their own or with other foods added.

You can check this out for some more info: http://www.zonediet.com/SuperZoneFo...fault.aspx

When you receive an order for SuperZone food more material comes with it, including a sample 14 day meal and snack planner.

To give you an idea, today when I got up I ate a SuperZone cookie and then spent an hour shoveling snow out of the driveway. For breakfast I made French toast out of SuperZone white bread, soy milk, egg white, and vanilla, cooked on the stove top in a little olive oil and topped with fruit. That was about 5 hours ago and now I'm going to have some light cream cheese and smoked salmon on a toasted bagel for lunch.

For more ideas, take a look at the SuperZone recipes in the tools section of the Superzone tab above.

You can take fish oil at any time of day, and it's best to take it with food. Dr. Sears mentions taking it with the evening meal to help prevent evening munchies. I take mine with breakfast because I find it interrupts my sleep when I take it with dinner or later (others have noticed this too).

The amount of Omega Rx you'd take daily depends upon your degree of wellness. It's explained in TOXIC FAT as follows (grams refer to total amount of EPA and DHA combined).

To maintain wellness, 2.5 g/day (4 caps; 1 teaspoon liquid).
For overweight, obesity, type 2 diabetes, or before starting a diet, 5 g/day (8 caps; 2 teaspoons liquid).
For chronic pain, 7.5 g/day (12 caps; 3 teaspoons liquid).
For existing neurological conditions 10 g/day (16 caps; 4 teaspoons liquid).

Lucy, sorry I missed your post. I haven't been lurking around much these days. But, I agree that these products are "highway robbery". If you want your bread, just have it. There are plenty of healthy options out there that won't cost you an arm and a leg. If I need some bread, I have used sprouted grain breads or my favorite brand of multi-grain (Natural Ovens, sold in the midwest). I prefer my foods to have much less additives than what is in the superzone products.

I, myself am re-considering but only one superzone food, the pizza crust.
My wife likes to have pizza, and I'll admit I miss it too, and though I do have Pizza as a cheat meal now and then, it's something we're considering ordering, the multi-grain pizza crust superzone food.... maybe...

If I were to use these foods, I would use them as I would use a zone bar--as an occasional treat and not as a staple for every meal. But, too costly for me, anyway.

I will stick with the traditional zone.

I have read a lot of dissented opinions about the Zone Superfoods. First, being in the Zone is ultimately important and what gets you there is king. The Zone Superfoods are perfectly balanced 40-30-30 and will put you in the Zone, no question! I have eaten all of the products and find them AMAZING. I actually eat the pasta for lunch and feel like flying when 4 o'clock comes around. You know when you eat regular pasta? Nappy time! The cookies, flatbread, pizza crust and especially the bagels are fantastic. Dr. Sears has more than a reputation and integrity to risk, he has a dedicated community that is as loyal as anybody because we get results following his plans. There will be no let down. The benefits are quick and easy access. I spend a lot of prep time preparing Zone meals, so these foods really ease the component of eating right. I highly recommend. I also have a promotional code that will save you 20%. Email me at pdwilk@cox.net

Hi Paul, I'm enjoying them too (as you've read here). Enjoying is an understatement. I can't believe how good I'm feeling. Dr. Sears has outdone himself by far with these SuperZone foods. The hormonal control I've been getting from them is the best I've ever had. I just ate 2 peanut butter chip cookeis heated in the microwave...out of this world! They take the Zone to another level, both with results and convenience.

I received my order of fish oil liquid and the protein powder a couple of days ago. The bagels came a day later. Not sure why, but I did get them.
The fish oil is not particularly pleasant and has to be kept in a ceramic cup in the FREEZER or it can react with the plastic in your refrigerator. They have a problem with the bottle dripping, but they say they are working on a different container and that should slove the problem. As for me I shall order the capsules next time.
Now for the bagels. They are not your typical tasting bagels and tasted much like a brown paper sack at first. I can see how those of you who have been off breads for a while can appreciate their taste, but I would give them a 2 or 3 on a scale of 5.
I tried one first with a little olive oil for breakfast and got hungry about 2 hrs later. I had one for lunch with turkey salad and a couple extra slices of turkey. That kept me full for a good while.
I have ordered more bagels, cinammon buns, and multi grain sandwich rolls.

Today I (we)made oatmeal cookies with birch sugar, canola oil, pecans, self rising flour and I added 3 scoops of ZONE protein powder. Not bad at all and I didn't get the "carb cravings" afterwards.

And btw, my cholesterol has gone down to 226.
