    What doe the dots and stars (by people's names) denote when posting on the forum?

    They relate to the number of posts made by the person. They change automatically when you reach a certain number of posts submitted.

    Stars that appear by the thread titles in the forum index indicate someone has given the thread a good rating. To rate a thread you click on one of the stars at the top left when you're reading the thread.
