I'm sure this topic has been covered , however, I just found this website! My husband and I just started the zone. We love it and have lots of energy! My husband is a heavy weight lifter and he's concerned that he's going to lose size! (Us woman want to lose, men want to gain! Go figure) I haven't read the zone books in great detail, I just know the basics. Should he just be increasing his portion sizes? or blocks? Help?! Dawnsky

If he "just started", he should have designed his daily requirement of blocks according to his Lean Body Mass and his [i:d268019e0a]activity level[/i:d268019e0a]. (Intense weight lifting maxes out at 1 gram of protein per pound of LBM.) He should be eating at least 15, and probably more, blocks per day. It's better to spread them out than to eat large portions at once. So if hubby must add blocks, I'd recommend they be as snacks, before and after a work-out. Good luck.

We haven't checked our lean body masses yet. I guess we'll have to do that soon. We kind of jumped right into this diet because we had a book laying around that had zone recipees in it. I'm going to go out and purchase the 1 st book. Thanks for your help!!
