Wow! I was really impressed with Barry Sears' article on helath care reform! This guy has passed my credibility test with this thought provoking article. I mean I know he's a great scientist, but he's more than that....he's a visionary.
And Dave Shreck's article on "cup half empty" thinking was also great! Or maybe I was just ready to hear it.

I know what you mean janet, and I agree. Did you happen to see that Barry's Swine Flu article is also on HuffPost? (The Huffington Post, a news blog site found at huffingtonpost.com) He sticks with the basics, always boiling it down to the how the abundance of cheap carbohydrates and cheap oils being at the heart of the health problems of Americans and the problems of our ailing health care system.

I especially liked Dave's article, too. Positive thinking makes a world of difference, in many situations, not only with diet and lifestyle. I saw numerous examples of this (of the opposite of positive thinking) just yesterday at the 4th of July gathering I attended.

    ... cheap food....
it just make me remember the book I'm reading... "Omnivore's dilemma" ...
eyes opening... just as Suek described... but I am slow English reader... taking long, but I know understand about the cheap meat... how we (humans) have forced animals to eat what they are not supposed to... just because is cheap crop.... amaizing... it happen every day in front of us, but it is until you understand it, then you can see it.

I read both articles... I found them interesting. Specially the positive thinking... you are what you think... not only what you eat ... isn't it?

The health care reform... sound interesting, but I need to undestand more about the actual american health care, so I can better learn the reforms proposed.
