As an off shoot from my other food blog, delishyourdish.com I started a new blog called Get In The zone (http://getinthezone.tumblr.com/) that has vegetarian zone meals. Hope you enjoy!

Hi there everyone.. I'm new to "The Zone".. Zone eating seems pretty complicated.. does it take long to learn how the blocks work and how to best balance the meals out without spending an insane amount of time on it?..

I've been a semi-vegetarian for many years.. I've recently decided not to consume any flesh anymore... so I'm not vegan (still eat eggs & dairy) but I am a vegetarian.. Is there a good recipe book for vegetarian cooking.. I enjoy experimenting with Indian & I'd like to learn some Thai dishes.. I would like to learn more about how to best combine foods to get the adequate amount of protein, electrolytes and antioxidants in my meals. Obviously carbs are never a challenge.. so many veggies, fruit, legumes to choose from.. but I would like to get more creative with the protein without having to resort to shakes..(Vega is a great one btw for anyone who is looking for a vegan line of nutritional supplement products, shakes, etc..I use it before & after running/yoga).
    Feedback would be appreciated.. Cheers!

" does it take long to learn how the blocks work"

No, not too long. It soon becomes second nature.

"and how to best balance the meals out without spending an insane amount of time on it?.."

Use the plate dividing method. It's the way I lost the 100 pounds.
