    Hello All-

I have been on the zone for 4 years about 4 years ago and want to get back in the zone. My twos questions that I need help with are:
    1. How many blocks should I add to my daily for breastfeeding?
    2. Any tips on what to do since I can't eat dairy right now? Especially for breakfast....

Thanks! Happy to be getting back in the zone

    Hi Molly!

    Congrats on the new baby!

    1. At first when you're exclusively breastfeeding it's usually advised to add a fully balanced block to each meal (or 3 aditional balanced blocks a day eaten as extra snacks, if 4 block meals aer too much for you at once).

    2. Zone Cereal with soy milk is quick and easy. A tip, WestSoy Unsweetened Soymilk (Plain, Almond, Vanilla, or Chocolate flavors) contains very littel insulinstimulating carb , so it allows you leeway to add a full block of fruit to you bowl of cereal. For more breakfast ideas check out my recipe and meal thread in the Cooking Tips Forum (especially the Brownie Batter Smoothie). I eat little to no dairy. If you want an easy snack of cheese and fruit, Trader Joes makes a very good dairy free cheese "Trader Joe's Mozzarella Alternative" found in their refrigerated soy foods area. It's very Zone friendly, and contains olive oil. It substitutes equally for dairy cheese re Zone protein blocks, 1 oz to a P block. Just as the typical Zone protein choices, it contains 1.5 grams fat to every 7 grams protein, so be sure to add the usual fat block.

Lost 100 lbs 18 yrs ago, off BP meds, thanks to the Zone diet and Zone fish oil.
