Hi

I have read a bit about fish oils and how they contribute to quite a few benefits when losing fat.

I would like to take them for losing fat, joint health and overall health, but I'm confused as to what ratio to use.

At the moment I just take seven seas cod liver oil which has a ratio of
EPA 828mg
DHA 736mg
in 10ml of liquid.

I read an article on T nation http://www.t-nation.com/productInfo...?id=910074

It states that our diet used to consist of a ratio of 1 to 1 or 1 to 2, but now it's more like 20 or 30 to 1 of omega 6 to 3.

It says that this is not a healthy ratio and it needs to be balanced more.

The product they sell (flameout) is supposed to balance this ratio out, but it has an almost 3 to 1 ratio of omega 6 to 3.

If we are consuming more omega 6 to 3 in our diets why are they giving more omega 6 in there product.

I am probably overlooking something here, but I would like to clear this up, so I can understand a bit more.

Also is what i'm currently taking OK and how much should I take on a daily basis.

Many thanks.

Nice! Thanks for posting the link also.
Now I know why many people in other site i just visited said that they use fish oils in their diet solution. I didn't know that it was that effective. Thanks for sharing again.

DR. Sears and any good high quality Fish Oil is only Omega-3's of EPA and DHA of 60% combined,
and in a ratio of 2:1 of EPA to DHA. So a 1000 mg ( 1 Gram) Fish Oil capsule has 600 mg of combined EPA and DHA.
And with 400 EPA and 200 DHA. Dr. Sears also has every batch independently tested IIFOS for purity.
You can check the IFOS website.

Hi Everyone,
I am finishing off my first bottle of fish oil. I have already finished my polyphenols rx. They don't last as long as the liquid fish oil because the fish oil last 45 days and the polyphenols last 30. What do I take when i run out of the polyphenols? do I take a teaspoon of olive oil? In my future order is there a polyphenol that will last as long as the liquid fish oil? I don't want to buy 2 bottles of polyphenols with my order.

thank you,
Donna

The best thing you could do is order 2 bottles of Fish Oil and 3 Bottles of Polyphenols every 90 days.

You will cut your shipping cost per year by a large amount. ( Example: Instead of paying shipping cost 12 times per year you would pay shipping 4 times a year.)

Such a good way on making our body healthy!

Basically, its the anti-inflammatory properties of the fish oil that has such a dramatic effect on those conditions listed, as well as other conditions, getting those good eicosanoids in order! And, then eating in the Zone will eliminate the bad eicosanoids, too.

Your list is so valuable for users to see.

It is truly amazing the number of benefits found in taking a Ultra Refined Fish Oil with the proper balance of EPA/DHA. Again and again; Dr Sears books and rearch is confirmed by test and studies... More and more Doctors and Physician are coming to realize what Dr Sears has been saying for years and the numbers are growing daily.

Dr Sears OmegaRx® Fish Oil has more than 2400mg of EPA & DHA per serving
No detectable levels of lead or mercury when tested down to 10ppb
Independent 3rd party testing on every lot
Contains only wild fish from pristine waters and never farmed fish
Delivers 8 times more omega-3s per serving than typical retail fish oil supplements

Fish oils are the new health 'wonder' food - not a week goes by, it seems, without yet more research confirming how good they are for you. Not only do they help children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD and dyspraxia, and adults with conditions as schizophrenia and depression, fish oils protect the heart and reduce the pain of arthritis.
