I had been wanting to do this for awhile, but the recent post by Shiraz got me to act on it. Where are they now? Lannette-enduro girl--I miss our long theoretical posts on endurance! WendyK! --break a leg, Hollywood! 8) Galaxy Girl- the astrophysicist from Australia. HappyBiker--name says it. Also from Australia? Eta-love letters to Italy--speaking of those letters, where's John been? Zonegrrl--one of the originals... I am sure there are a whole bunch of other long-ago regulars that escape my memory at the moment!

Hi Scott, I've been thinking about Eta and Wendy myself  . I would love to hear from them again. I think Anne Marie would know something about Wendy but as for our "Dear" Eta......... Glad to see that you and Sue are still in the forum. I've been off for quite some time and just getting back in touch with some of my old friends. Lost my husband and now remarried. Was working until I did remarry so wasn't on line much doing anything. Was working evenings. Needless to say I was staying in good shape, but now.......... well that's why I'm back   Hugs, Ashleyyyyy

[color=darkred:4bd81cbe85]Hi Ashely!!!! (and Scott!), Eta (Federica) and I are very good friends. (Funny, but all day yesterday I was trying to remember Federica's user name in the old Forums!) She got married a couple years ago to Alberto (the doctor in Italy who was a frequent Forums poster for a while). They actually met in these forums! The three of us would have discussions here, and then all of a sudden, he aksed her if they could meet. My husband and I went to Italy for their wedding and spent a couple weeks there with them. It was great. We hiked, saw the sights (incl. Venice), went to an outdoor opera, Aida, in Verona (first opera any of us had ever been to!). They even took us to a Zone restaurant! It was a regular restrurant, but the chef is a zoner and has some Zone meals on the menu. All you do is tell the waiter the number of blocks you eat and which meal you'd like. They now have a one yr old son and are awaiting the birth of their daughter (due May 16). I'll tell her you were asking about her. And yes, they'er still in the Zone. Alberto became Zone certified at a weekend certification given in Italy by dr. Sears a couple yrs ago. We even met their Zone friends from Italy. Glad to hear you are well, Ashley. Sorry about your husband's passing. And congrats on your marriage! Hope you stick around on here for a while. Missed you! I've been fine (more or less). I'm still in the Zone, and around my ideal body fat%. Almost three yrs ago I had an early stage breast cancer, mastectomy, and breast reconstruction. (Yeah, I know, hard for me to believe, too!). My wt. went up a bit while healing from all that stuff, but is back to where it was before. I'm even a bit leaner now than I used to be. Unfortunately, the reconstruction had to be done over with a different technique a yr ago, due to some tight initeral scar tissue. My last (I hope) in the series of reconstuctive surgeries is scheduled for 3 weeks from now, Monday, May 16, the same day Federica's baby is due. It's kind of a biggie, about 3 hrs long, but I can't wait to be done![/color:4bd81cbe85]

Eliminating the dairy brought my calcium levels down enough so that my dr is not concerned (although still over the normal limit), and it turns out the thyriod hormone was probably the key to my sluggish metabolism. Score one more for the Zone because they told me it was amazing I've maintined a normal wt with hypothyroidism. I see my plastic surgeon today at 3 PM to make all the final decisions for my last reconstructive surgery in two weeks (May 16, and it better be the last...time will tell!). It's a big surgery, on both sides, but I'm really excited to finally be almost done with all of it. Oh, and my middle daughter got engaged this week! Have a fun weekend.[/color:bb4a668e89]

Hi Sue, I got the pictures you sent  So good to see what a person looks like when e-mailing or posting on the forum. You're a very nice looking lady  I'll send you one of my Hubby and I. Today is our second Wedding Anniversary. We were so lucky to have found each other. We are constantly giving thanks for that. I'll e-mail you about how we met. Was fun, but I think most of our relatives and friends thought we had both flipped out  Maybe we did but still don't regret it :!: Glad to be back in touch with everyone. This is a great place to meet people and hang out. Love, Ashleyyyyy

You know, it does everybody some good to "flip out" a little now and then  I'm happy for both of you. Give your husband my best. I'm curious to see your picture now. I usually form my own mental picture of people I post to. Sometimes I'm pretty close, but usually I'm way off . LOL! Have a good weekend.
