I'm wondering where I fit concerning protein requirements.
During the winter I average running 50 miles per week, probably half of that on a treadmill. During the summer I average 70+ miles a week, all of it outside either on a track or rocky trail. I keep meaning to add an upper body weightlifting regimen but I guess I'm too lazy to start. So far all I do is use an ab-roller every night.
My running pace ranges from 10:00 to 12:00 with brief spurts in the 8:00 range. I'm 52 and have been a distance runner for over 20 years. I've lost count how many marathons I've done, somewhere between 40 and 50, I think. Generally I run for an hour twice daily, and one long run on Sundays. During the week I run on my lunch hour and again after work. Most of my marathons have been in the 4-hour range. Obviously, I ain't fast. The Zone business has made me slower.
