Hi all... I have re-started the zone last week. I have already dropped a pound and clothes are fitting a tad looser.. :D I find that despite eating 3 blocks, tons of veggies( my collegues at work think I might explode from the amount of salad ) I still get hungry after lunch about 3pm... I have my snack then and I get hungry at 5 or 6 pm and we usually don't have dinner til 8 due to work schedules... should I eat another snack and forgo my night time snack? or should I tough it out? thanks , Crystal...soon to be fit and trim.....

But the thing I notice is your hunger at 3PM. This will not happen if one is really in the Zone. I suggest you take a good look at your lunch to be sure it's balanced. Be sure to have enough fat (total 3 g fot every 7 g protein). Also take note of the type of hunger you have (focused or "loopy") and adjust accordingly. If you need help with this, post a sample of your lunch listing each specific food and the amount of the food, and I'll take a look. I'm having surgery on Monday, so I won't be around here in the Forums for probably at least a couple weeks after, but I'll be checking in here for the rest of this week. Since you mention your lunch has tons of veggies, you may find you can eliminate the 3PM hunger simply by replacing some of the veggies in your lunch with some denser carbs (black beans, apple, etc.). Thanks Sue... I feel better already...I did increase my fat intake a little at lunch and it seemed to help.. Normally for lunch .. I'll have a salad.. mostly lettuce and cabbage( 2 cups)1/4 c carrots with some chicken or tofu (I 'm obsessive about measuring the right amount of protein)... a sprinkle of cheese and some about a tablespoon of ranch or blue cheese dressing and some 2 dried peach halves and a teaspoon of peanut butter( all natural with no sugar added)... Does this look about right? I have tons more energy lately and have stared running 5 miles 3-4 times a week.... I want to drop about 30 pounds I am currently 157...5'5.5" and average bone frame.....thanks for all the advice... Crystal
