I have the book. Both my husband and I are very very "picky" eaters, plus he has a severe allergy to all shellfish. I found there were very few recipes in the book that either of us would want to eat. So I have been creating virtually all of our meals from my 1996 personalized meal and menu plans from Envion. Neither of us is fond of tofu, egg whites, oatmeal, yogurt, soy protein, turkey or chicken breast, and many of the other recipe staples. That really limits us, I know, but going on the Zone diet AND changing a lifetime of food preferences would be too much for us oldsters. Yep, it's truly a challenge!
I guess I will have to give up on the muffins. And they were so tasty after I added another box of Jiffy cornbread mix, heh heh.
I would be grateful for any other tips ...
