I'm just starting the Zone and this is very confusing to me. This is my results from the Zone Block and Body Calculator and I do not understand the process. Daily Protein Requirement (g): 82.47 # of Blocks of Protein: 12 # of Blocks of Carbohydrate: 12 # of Blocks of Fat: 12 I have read the book as well as the Quick start guide. HELP!!!! |

So, your results mean that you can have a total of 12 blocks throughout the day. You can probably easily divide this up into 3 meals of 3 blocks each, and 3 snacks of 1 block each. Each block is a balanced block of protein, a block of carb, and a block of fat. Choose foods from the food guide, each food is listed in 1 block portions. If your protein is fat free, then you can double the fat block. Let me know if you need more detail (this is the really abbreviated explanation!). |

Hi Michelle! Go to the Food Block tab in Quick Start and choose your blocks from those lists. To total 12 blocks daily you would eat 3 meals (3 blocks each)every day and 3 snacks (1 block each) every day. A 3 block meal contains 3 P blocks, plus 3 C blocks, plus 3 F blocks. A 1 block snack contains 1 P block, plus 1 C block, plus 1 F block. |
