I have a bag of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries) how do I figure how much to have as a snack with 1/4 c of cottage cheese and some slivered almonds??<img src='desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/blink.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Blink' align='absmiddle'> Thanks to all who can help!

Kelly, I'd break it down like this:
    1 block =
    .75C blackberries,
    .5C blueberries,
    1C strawberries, or
    1C raspberries

When you pour a scoop out, is it truly a mixture or does it lean more toward one fruit than another? Unless there were a ton of blueberries, I'd lean toward .75C - just under 1C of the fruit mixture.

    Hope this helps.

That does help, that's what I thought I should do, but I am a detail person and couldn't just leave it at that!! Thanks Karen!

    You're welcome, Kelly!

LOL! I accidentally clicked on your flowers and was surprised it took me to another screen! Great little tool you have going on there!

Kelly, you could also get information from the bag that the fruit came from. I am sure there must be a nutritional label, so you can use the bag to determine the serving size for a block. Just remember that a block of carb is 9 grams of net carbs (total carbs minus fiber = net carb).

    Hope that helps, too!

Well, I wasn't sure how to figure it for a mixture, instead of just one kind of fruit. I didn't see any kind of mixture on the blocks list. Sorry if all these questions are getting redundant...all of this kind of blows my mind!

No problem, Kelly! It totally blew my mind at first also. Still does sometimes! LOL! It basically just clicked one day ... don't know why, but it did!
