Does anyone have experience getting relief from osteoarthritis with the Zone and PGFO? What dose of FO did you use? I went to the Zone Vitamin Profiler and was recommended 4 capsules per day plus glucosamine chondrointin.. Makes me wonder about the benefits of PGFO on osteo arthritis (not the inflammatory kind).
Thanks,

from my own personal experience I have experienced little help with glucosamine and chondrotin, however, I have patients who claim it worked wonders for them. I have personally found that higher doses of FO, 3-4grams of Omega 3's a day for two weeks, then tapering down to a maintance dose of 2.5 gms daily has worked best for me. |

Thanks FlaDoc. I haven't had many other replies. Is that 5 g of PGFO, or do you calculate that out of what is in a PGFO capsule? I've been taking 5-6 g of PGFO, but am still getting swelling in my right knee, so am changing my ex routine.
Thanks,

calculate the total EPA and DHA by adding up the sum of the capsules. If you are still having problems at that high of a dose, then perhaps re-think your exercise routine. certain exercises such as leg extensions will certainly aggrevate the knee. |
