Hi All, I'm so excited! I dont consider myself to be a cook at all. but i have been experimenting with "Mixtures" that I can blend without cooking (or minimal cooking). I have just stumbled across this mixture that I am calling "Raspberry Ice Cream" and would appreciate your feed back... Mistakes? GI? Measures? Taste etc - if your game to try it :D :?: It is based on a method my mother used when she made our own ice cream when we were kids and I suddenly remembered how she used to make it. The principal is to half freeze a very thick and whipped mixture and then whip it again and re freeze. Some how this second whipping makes it all very creamy and yummy. I must confess that the first time i tried it it didnt even get to the freezer. I stood there and ate the LOT!! (It was Zoned - Of course) and that was LUNCH. Ok Now I'm stuck. I assumed that I could up load an Excel spreadsheet but i cant seem to find how to do this. if someone can tell me how to do this then i can upload my SS for you to adjust the recipe to suit. Well here it is without the calculations [b:0a9122ab23]Ingredients:[/b:0a9122ab23] 50gms (2oz) Lite Soy milk 5gms (1 rounded teasp) Protein Powder 10gms (about 1&1/2 tablespoons) Soy Isolate Protein Powder 10gms (1 tablespoon) Egg White Powder 1 teasp vanilla essence 10gms (2 teasp) Fructose 3P 2C 1F ( without added nuts and strawberries) $1.33AU Total cost per recipe [b:0a9122ab23]Method:[/b:0a9122ab23] Mix fructose, soy isolate, protien and egg white powder in a mixing container Add raspberries and mash with a flat bladed knife until mixed and berries are pulped GRADUALLY add the soy milk and vanilla until it is very smooth Whip until mixture doubles in size and is very smooth and creamy. Place in Freezer (in contact with the shelf) until it is half frozen. Return to mixing container and whip again until very smooth and creamy Place in freezer unitl frozen Serving suggestions: Serve with 250gms (8oz) Fresh Strawberries and top with 2F of your favourite nuts [b:0a9122ab23]Notes:[/b:0a9122ab23] I have tried to convert grams to “user friendly” measures but it may not be very accurate. I think some of you may like it a little sweeter, there is room to add more fructose and use fewer strawberries if that suits you. If you would like a copy of my spreadsheet which shows all my calcs then please email me at littleblackdog@bigfoot.com. Don’t expect a reply immediately as I shall wait about a week and up load them all together (assuming anyone is interested) Appreciate your feed back! ( email me direct if you would like to) Many thanks :D :D :D Top
