I enjoy coffee, too. I like adding a creamer, and the creamer really cuts back on the amount of sweetener that I need. Honestly, I can make a packet of Stevia stretch quite far! LOL I have debated between whether to use dairy cream or powdered creamer, so I usually go with whatever is available. Sometimes I splash in some milk, and even some soymilk at times. A fellow zoner chatted with me once about it, and he recommended a blend of soymilk and coffee about 1/2 cup of each, so it becomes a cafe au lait (except with soymilk instead of real milk). But, I am not a huge soymilk fan, so haven't done that for awhile. And my consumption is basically a cup in the morning. I don't really need it, either. It doesn't have to be caffeinated, it just has to be hot and on my desk as I am sorting out my work for the morning! |

I purchase stevia in liquid. I find with the eyedropper, 2 to 3 drops is plenty when I just want a little sweetness. I tried 4 drops in hot tea, and it is too sweet. (Though if it were a 123 food, it would have about 6 drops per serving <grin>) And you can get stevia liquid in a flavor such as vanilla cream for baking. |

These are good ideas. I don't really need coffee, I just enjoy the warmth of it, especially in winter time. I also have some stevia, (but did not know they are flavored and I will have to try that!) that I use in the girl's herbal teas I will make them on occasion. I have tried substituting teas for coffee and it is just not the same. So, I drink my coffee with the flavored liquid non-dairy coffee creamer in the mornings as my carbs, along with my protein. It is zoned, just not as nutritious as it could be. |

John, I didn't know that, either about the flavored stevia! I totally can relate, Ayesha. Tea does not do it for me, but it is definitely the warmth of the drink that I am looking for, cuz I really don't seem to need it for caffeine. Maybe it has something to do with the richness, the aroma, definitely the flavor. |
