Just gearing up and doing research to begin the program. Weight Watchers Lifetime member needs a change because it's just not working. Need to lose 30-40 lbs, late 40s, mom, work FT and need to get off rear end. This has to work. Would love support from someone online who's been there, done that, preferably who gets this stage in a woman's life!
    I appreciate it!

    Welcome Vivian!

You'll find the Zone to be a big change from any eating plan you've tried before. And it works! I'm 56, husband, 3 kids, and 1 grandchild, have been where you are now, and changed my life with the Zone. I lost 100 pounds during my first 2 years in the Zone and have kept it off ever since (almost 14 years in the Zone now!).

    I'll be happy to help!

Lost 100 lbs 18 yrs ago, off BP meds, thanks to the Zone diet and Zone fish oil.

    Hey, Vivian!

I am a mother of 3 kids, I am 44, and I work full time. I can relate!!

cranberrycat@hotmail.com if you want to email. But, posting in the forums is just fine, too!

I too need help. Also lifetime member of WW. As i age i do not seem to be able to tolerate processed food, sugar etc. I eat something like that and soon thereafter I need to actually take a nap. I am 53 yr, husband, 3 kids work full time. My lipid profile is not good, specifically need to lower LDL. I also need to lose about 50 lbs, have HUGE family history of heart disease on top of all of this.
Will the Zone help with this?????

Welcome, Deborah! You've come to the right place! The Zone will definitely help you. I'm still a newbie - I started my third week yesterday and feel so much better already. This is a great forum for asking questions and getting support during those difficult times. Have you gotten a book yet? If yes, which one did you get? I really like the Anti-Inflammation Zone book. I haven't read it yet, but I understand Toxic Fat is a good one to get, too. Also, many people have recommended Zone Meals in Seconds is a good choice. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

    Happy Zoning!

    Hi Deborah!

Absolutely, I do believe you will see a lowered LDL in the Zone. You can also expect to loose some body fat, as a nice "side effect".

Sue, Karen, Kim & Others - thanks for the response. I have had a problem with my log ins which I think I resolved today!
If you don't mind I'd really prefer to email rather than post - simply because it's easier. I promise to be low maintenance - I don't have any health issues (thank goodness) - probably because I eat fairly healthy - but I'd like to avoid those down the road.
I have Cranberry's email - anyone else please email me at vkelba@gmail.com - the more help and encouragement, the better (I am reading the book and get the concept having happily done Sugar Busters years ago - but I still have some d-oh questions)....
Thanks again for your responses - email me at vkelba@gmail.com - because I don't seem to see a PM option...???

    You're welcome Vivian!

I don't do private Zone consultation by email. I'd be happy to help you here in the Zone Forums!

    Hi,
I am also new to the zone and am looking for some support. I am thinking about attending the cruise in March just so I can learn more through the seminars.
Have any of you gone on a cruise or been to a seminar?
    Thank you for your response,
    Carol
