I WATCHED THE DOCUMENTARY ON MANUEL URIBE AND i WANT TO GET LON THE ZONE DIET I AM WEIGHING AT ABOUT 700 POUNDS OR MAYBE A LITTLE MORE I LIVE IN THIS SMALL TOWN AND HAVENT BEEN TOTHE DOCTORS IN MANY YEARS.i AM 36 YRS OLD AND SEEKING HELP ANYONE OUT THERE CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ABOUT THE ZONE DIET PLEASE DO SO i WANT SO MUCH TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND MY SONS GRADUATION NEXT YEAR IN MAY. SEEKING ADVICE FROM ANY ZLONERS, DOCTORS NUTRIENTS ETC. DESPERATELY NEEDING HELP

Anyone who starts a diet should definitely get a check-up from their doctor. I don't know if you are able to get there or not, but either way, I urge you to take this first step.

Then, start reading! It would be a great step for you to get your hands on at least one book, maybe several books. The books will help you to gain a deeper understanding of how this all works.

Then, start eating! Veggies, lean meat, healthy fats.

To add to Cranberry's acvice, the book you'd want to read and share with your doctor, which will give you the most up to date info info about the Zone and obesity, is "Toxic Fat" by Barry Sears. You can order it from this website (click on the products tab above).

Thanks Cranberry and Sue for the advice. just curious do you take any medication on this diet,I was just wondering cause I hate taking pills!

I do not take medications of any kind. There are some recommended supplements, such as fish oil, that I take, but otherwise that is about it. There are no required medications in the Zone. Dr. Sears says that "food is our medicine".
