Hey everyone!! I have been on the zone now for a month, and yesterday I wanted to try my old favorite desert from TGI Friday's (brownie obsession)...the good news is, for a dessert that i used to be able to almost finish no problem, I could barely get down three bites. It was way too sweet, and gave me a stomach upset all the way to today!! That's the good news!! :D :?: I have a question though, for Spring Break I am going away on a Cruise, and I'm afraid that I am going to have a hard time keeping up with everything!! Of course I'm going to bring/buy enough zone perfect bars for me to make it through the snacks and stuff, but I have never been on a cruise and don't know about the dining situations....can anyone give me some advice please??? I don't want to go off the zone just because I'm going away!! Thank you!! Lib

Hi, Yes, isn't it amazing how differrent you react to your favorite sweets after a little time in the Zone! I haven't been on a cruise, which I hear is uaually filled with the opportunity for endless eating, but I have been on plenty of vacations. I've been eating this way almost 9 years, and while 'm very carb sensitive and usually always stick to the Zone, vacations and Chrisrtmas are my exceptions. On vacation I Zone as much as I can at meals, but also dont' hesitate to indulge when I feel like it. You definitley feel crummy later, but sometimes it's kind of worth it. No damage is done in the long run. You come home a little bloated andweighing a few lbs more but it goes away by the end of a week or so. I just spent a week with my family at Disney World, and enjoyed myself, junk food and all! As for how to Zone on vacation, look for eggs and oatmeal with a piece of fruit for breakfast. Caesar salads with chicken are always good for lunch or dinner. Salmon seeme to be everywhere. Also there are lots of carb conscious selections showing up on menus these days. Have a great time on the cruise! Sue
