    I made some researchesover the internet, and found some references for a group study on kids of Durham in England. They have shown sigificant improvement of behavior, and capacity to study after using a supplement of omega 3 and evening primerose. However,... the epa/dha level given is 4-5>1. The supplement is called Eye Q would you recommend this product,... I will verify with the company for toxin level Other hi-EPA oils are typically have an EPA/DHA ratio of 3:2. The standard hi-EPA oil is known as 18:12 (i.e. 18% EPA and 12% DHA). Using expensive industrial methods only replicates the ratio, into 33:22, or 50:33. Thus you will still be getting significant amounts of DHA, which can compete for absorption with EPA, thus diluting the impact of this desired nutrient. We have an EPA/DHA ratio of around 4:1, and this ratio is entirely natural, with no concentrating or processing involved. This is because of our fish source. Most other high EPA oils are made from the liver or organs of larger fish, and thus can contain high amounts of Vitamins A and D, which can be harmful in sustained consumption. Similarly, high DHA oils typically are made from the particular organs that use DHA as a structural fat: the brain and the eyeballs, usually from tuna. By comparison, eye q™uses oil made from the bodies of small fish, specifically sardines, pilchards and anchovies. Guts and other organs are excluded. These fish are harvested at special times of the year when they seasonally consume large amounts of plankton, boosting the amount of EPA in their flesh. This is crucial for the quality of our fish oil. Because they only live for one season, their short life span means there is little chance that their tissues can become tainted with industrial pollutants, compared with larger fish, such as tuna or salmon. Secondly, we get these fish from the south Atlantic and south Pacific, from the cleanest oceans on the planet, and thus they have little contact with industrial pollutants. Finally, to guarantee total protection from such materials, the oil undergoes a 'turbo deodorisation' process, which uses steam to wash out such volatiles as dioxins. The purity of the fish oil used in eye q™ is backed up by strict quality assurance. Analysis by an independent facility for dioxins, heavy metals, pesticides and other pollutants, gives us ratings beneath the detectable levels stated by the EC and the WHO.
