Skim milk will whip up to be over double it's size. If it's really cold it will go thick like a thickshake. I use one of those little hand held Barmix thingys - I haven't tried this with 2% - mainly cos I'd rather have a few nuts.
You can heat the frothy mixture too - so it's latte time for all.
Sadly it doesn't stay whipped for too long - maybe 10 mins, but certainly long enough for me to put it on stuff and gobble it up. |

This is a great idea! I never thought of that!
I do whip evaporated milk into a whipped cream substitute...you put it in the freezer until it gets frosty around the edges, then beat away with an electric mixer, and you have whipped cream!
This was popular years ago (guess I'm showing my age), before Cool Whip and such flooded the market, but I think it tastes better than real whipped cream, particularly with Splenda and real vanilla added! Pile this tasty protein on some strawberries and I'm in heaven! |

Sounds good, but be aware that milk is [b:ad47ccbb52]both P and C.[/b:ad47ccbb52]

Actually, I've started following the Insulin Resistance Diet which is similar to the Zone, but with some differences (hope I don't get kicked off this board!)....on my plan milk is a protein and not considered a carb, although of course it does contain carbs. But we don't count them.
I like Zone forums because even though I'm not technically on the Zone anymore, the plans are similar, and I get such neat ideas and recipes from this forum! |

Not really, my post read "I'm not technically on the Zone anymore", which means I was on the Zone but am now following another plan that is similar to the Zone. I'm too lazy to change my username. |
