    Hello
i found a protein that has a Prot to Carb ratio 0.65 wich is almost center in the zone..
I was wondering is it ok to use it because the carbs are coming from Maltodextrine and sucralose and a little bit from fructose..?
Will it raise my insulin levels?

It depends on how your body responds to it. I don't think it would be considered favorable carb, but see how you feel a few hours after eating it.

    HI Sue
you know i checked the shakes and bars from Dr Sears and i saw that it contains , maltodextrin, sucralose ,fructose , maybe a little sugar..

and i thought that this protein has all the above but more maltodextrin and less fructose.

Have you seen my question in the HEALTH topics?

    Hi Alexander!

Yes, but you really need to try it to see how it works for you. Dr. Sears shakes are state of the art nutritional products that have been designed with Zone Labs' "controlled release of nutrition" and are proven to keep you in the Zone. The only way to know for sure about the product you have is to try it and see how you respond.

Yes, I saw your other post about how you feel when you don't stay in the Zone. This is typical. It's what usually happens to a person on the Zone diet when they go out of the Zone. Some people hardly notice a difference when the got out of the Zone (which surprises me!). Most people will feel like you do, and some feel even worse. It's always a good idea to check with your doctor when you have concern about symptoms you're feeling.

Let us know how that product works for you!

    Have a good weekend!

    Thank a lot Sue...
I am really reliefed now because i thought i was the only feelings those symptoms when i am off the zone..
I am also surprised because i friend of mine is in the zone to but not 100% like i do so he eats bread or sandwich 1 time per day and he doesn't feel any difference really oqward...

You know i also noticed a big change in the time that i have to be off the zone to have those symptoms. The first year in the zone even one meal off and i felt terible ,but know after 2 years it has to be days or one strong day with lots of mistakes to give me that symptoms...

Wouldn;t it be great to have a small check machine in our homes to tell us the exact fish oil dose and gla that we nees?

    Hi Alexander!

I'd love a machine to tell me how much fish oil I need! :) Maybe you can invent one someday! (jk!)

It makes sense that your friend is able to get away with not quite being in the Zone but not noticing the difference, even though you can't, because no two people are alike. My mom eats in the Zone and she doesn't notice a difference when she goes out of the Zone. I'm more sensitive to carbs and I notice a big difference if I don't keep my usual meal balance. My husband falls somewhere in between. He can tell the difference if he doesn't stay in Zone balance, but not enough that he doesn't feel well.

Keep listening to your body. That's the best way to do it!

One think is sure if i invent it i'll become a millionaire.
I think it';s a great idea for Dr Sears labs...

ONe more think Sue..the how much a person feels the difference if gets off the zone is due his carb sensitivity level or it's health condition?
