    Tofu pasta that is:

Here is a copy of a reply post to a frustrated zoner who was missing her pasta!

Another alternative for pasta are tofu noodles--they are noodles made out of tada--tofu, and I almost don't even count them because they have 20 calories, a gram or 2 of protein, and 3 grams of carbs (2 of them fiber) and .5 grams of fat for 4 oz (1/2 of the bag) and it's a lot of noodles. These are a wonderful alternative to pasta and taste great with flavorings and additions. I like to make prawn pasta primavera with loads of veggies and prawns!

Shirataki Tofu noodles are the brand and here is the website!

Wow! That is an interesting product!

I looked at the nutritional information, and the ingredients are basically tofu and yam flour. Yes, I would agree, for one 4 oz serving, you really wouldn't have to count this at all!

I didn't check the price, but it would be something that I would consider purchasing. I wonder if they have it at the Whole Foods store that I go to?

    Thanks for sharing that, Amber!

    Thanks Amber!

Have you tired it? If so, where did you purchase it? According to the site, it's only available online.

    Thanks!

Sue, I looked at the site. It appears that the product is available for purchase at Whole Foods and Wild Oats stores, among other places.

    Thanks, I read incorrectly!

BTW, for those who aren't aware, Wild Oats is now Whole Foods (as of about a year ago).
