I noticed that the dog supplement missing link had flax seed in it. I add two table spoons of half groud flax and half ground sesame to two cups of dog food. Any idea if this is the correct portions for a 60 pound dog?

I always give my dog flax meal with her food. I love my little dog. She is hairless, almost toothless, has one brown eye and one blue eye, and was about to be put asleep by the pound because everyone thought she was too ugly to love. They were wrong! She is the sweetest little girl and I built up her health by giving her top quality food and flax as well. I don't measure, but since she weighs about 15 pounds, I mix in about a teaspoon or so. She love it!

Zonieforlife, that is beautiful! How long have you had her? what do you feed her? Do you try to Zone her meals? Do you think it is relavent to dogs? Calvin, I may be so late that you may not see this but just in case: Recently on a vet program on TV here in Oz I saw that too many nut/seed type foods can cause a skin irritation by the build up of too much fatty secretion (??) on the skin, which in turn can irritate the dog. Whilst I believe in giving them nuts, seeds and fats I suggest it just in case you may like to keep an eye out for this. cheers Top
