What is the maximum size of a meal that should be consumed before bed to prevent hypoglycemia?

All that's needed is a one block snack.

I disagree with the blanket statement that only 1 block is needed. I I've suffered from this (self diagnosed :)) for years. When I am at lower levels of bodyfat and consequently not eating much (or eating appropriate amounts), i am unable to sleep through the night. The only solution I've found that works for me is to eat slightly less during the day so I can have a largish snack/meal prior to going to sleep.

I've also discovered some natural sleep aids that seem to help tremendously.

    Hi Chris,

My reply about the 1 block snack was given in the context of a person who's in the Zone, not for a person in the scenario you described. There are exceptions to almost everything. :)

BTW, there was a recent article on DrSears.com in which Barry Sears gave the same 1 block suggestion to help with nocturnal hypoglycemia. You can read it here: http://www.drsears.com/tabid/399/it...sleep.aspx
