I am on my third week on the Zone now but have been feeling very lethargic and exhausted. I feel as though I have no energy. Is this normal? Am I still in the Zone? I have been following the eating pattern religiously as well as the meal and snack timings.
Is it simply because I am just starting out on the Zone?

Hi Mary!
The symptoms you're describing occur in a minority of people in the first weeks of the Zone. Your symptoms could be caused by the initial release of AA as you enter the Zone and begin burning stored fat. If this is the cause, it should be gone in another week or so. You can also eliminate the symptoms now by temporarily increasing your fish oil dose.
In addition you might want to recalculate your protein requirement to be sure you're eating enough. You could also check to be certain that you're not eating too many unfavorable carbs, and that you are adding enough fat to meals.

To add to Sue's point, the bare minimum for ANY adult is 11 blocks, so if you did the math and came up under 11 blocks, you MUST eat 11 blocks. Otherwise, you are not staying in the Zone.
