Hello, I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian, and I'll be spending the summer in rural Ghana. While I'm very excited for my trip, I'm concerned that it will be difficult to stay in the zone. There will be an abundance of fruit, vegetables and rice, but I'm not sure how many non-meat sources of protein will be available to me. Does anyone have any advice for staying in the zone when travelling, particularly in developing countries? Thanks! |

If you're able to bring supplies with you, you may want to consider Zone shakes. One box contains 14 packets (2P and 2C in each packet). You wouldn'tnecessarily need milk for the shakes. They can be mixed with anything, even yogurt or tofu. |

Thanks! Zone shakes are a good idea. Unfortunately, I don't even think I'll be able to get tofu in this village, but hopefully they'll have dairy products of some sorts. Thanks for your help! |

You're welcome! The tofu was just an example to show you can add it to anything. It wouldn't necessarily have to be added to a dairy product. You could even have dry milk packets with you and simply add some water(making sure it is safe water) to the whole thing.
Have a great trip! |
