Ok here I go. Since going on depression pills I have gained enough weight. From me just eating from the depression itself and also from the pills. What is your advice on when you are not hungry and you want to eat? What do you do to stop it? Also will I still be able to lose weight on the zone because I am on the pills? I have tried other diets and because of the pill I would not move in my weight. Thanks foir the help.

I don't know what to tell you..... I've been on anti-depressants for five years and I've never had a problem with weight gain. You might talk to your doctor and ask him/her to prescribe a different medication

I'm not sure about the affects of the diet pills on your weight gain/loss. But I wanted to let you know that this is a great support group in itself so if you are having trouble controling your desire to eat (as I do occassionally - regardless of if I'm hungry or not) then post something on this site, or read some of the postings. I've found it to be very motivating.

Following the Zone greatly reduced depression with me, (I take medication as well) And, I definitely drop a steady 5 pounds a month on the high end of following the diet. I eat about 16-18 blocks a day and faithfully loose. You may also want to supplement with addtional pharm grade fish oil (Zone labs) to help with the depression. Read Omega Zone. Good luck!
