I would not like to eat chicken all day everyday. can you give me sample meals that you all eat so I know how to do this. I have what blocks I sould be eating of what I am just needing diffrent types of food to keep me on it so I do not get bored and go off. Thank you all for you help :?

A very lean ham about once every two weeks. And, maybe left-overs 1 night. (And we just order Pizza about once every third week, or so, on hectoc weekends!) Though not as favotable as non-red meats, there are some decent lean cuts of red meat available. And since I'm not eating the 10-16 oz of it at each dinner time meal, now - I am certainly eating much healthier aving only 4 oz only a few times ea week. Also, normally I stay away from all or most pork products; however, there are some very lean cuts available.

Have you tried tofu? It's a great source of protein. It pretty much takes on the flavor of whatever sauce it's in. A stir-fry with veggies and tofu is delicious.

I am also big into cottage cheese (easy to take for lunch where I teach) and protein powder (added to smoothies or oatmeal). We also buy small lean hams, turkey breasts, chicken breasts (sliced ourself always tastes better to us! ) and lean roast beef at the deli to supplement the chicken, turkey, ground turkey or hamburger. Other things to try are TVP (texturized vegetable protein--great in chili) and some of the soy products such as Harvest burgers (my fave) or Boca burgers. They also make little "sausages", "meat"balls, and "crumbles" that are similar to meat's texture and flavor. Sears suggests lean canadian bacon, but I find it to be quite pricey, so lean ham (same fat content) does the trick for us. Some non-fish people do like canned tuna or salmon--have you tried it? Really, there's a wealth of lean protein out there, if you look for it. Good luck! Ronica
