i'm going nuts with all the variations with the food blocks. lets take the onion for example. in the book Top 100 Zone Foods 1.5Cups=1Block on dr. sears website Food Block Guide 1Cup=1Block in the book Omega RX zone 1.5Cups=1Block in the book Anti-Aging Zone 1Cup01Block so i set out using the nutritional values and weight to figure it out. first i tried the governments site http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bi..._search.pl which gives 100g Onion has 10.41g Carbs and 1.4g of dietary fiber if you subtract out the fiber you get 100g Onion =8.71g Carb so to get 9g of carb 9g*100gOnion/8.71gCarb which gives you 103.3g Onion =1Block second i tried using the dole site http://www.dole5aday.com/ReferenceC...?topmenu=1 this site says 148g Onion contains 14gCarb and 3g Fiber if you subtract out the fiber you get 148g Onion =11g Carb so to get 9g of carb 9gCarb*148gOnion/11gCarb which gives you 121gOnion=1Block under no circumstance do i get 1.5 cups Onions= 1 Block what is going on......which food block guide is full proof?

:?: OK, near as I figure it, 1 cup of chopped onions = 1 block and 1.5 cup of sliced onions = 1 block since chopped onions have less volume (less air between the pieces) than sliced onions in a cup..... :P
