Today is February 29th. Just think, this day only comes around once every 4 years!

I am "leaping" into March by renewing my approach in the Zone.

It is just that sometimes we need a few special days here and there to renew our commitment to a healthy lifestyle. It's too easy to fall into bad habits, and it is just my way of continuing on the path that is my Zone.

    Hi Cran,
I needed that leap, too!! I was a bit off this whole week. I got off to a bad start w/ last Sunday's dinner and left overs for dinner Monday and Tuesday. At least this morning was off to a good start with a Sears Zone Bar at 8:30 so I know I'm on track until lunchtime. I forgot cottage cheese at the store last night but bought beautiful fresh blueberries (just love Costco) so even this morning was not where I wanted to be, but at least on target. I want percision and results this month! Great goal...

    Thanks for your "leap"! LOL!

I have not struggled with eating, but kind of fell off track with exercise these past few weeks, had some sick children and a few other things that came up, which prevented me from making it in to get my workouts done. So, I feel as if I needed to "leap" into that part of it, again!

I'm taking the leap, too! I need a jumpstart! THESE forums are the whole reason I am on this website! It is so helpful to stay on course just to be able to talk to someone knowledgeable......
I don't eat like the meals planned here, kinda.....there are certain things I don't eat...like cottage cheese, wheat, of course the wheat could be a good thing since th zone doesn't use a lot of bread.....I don't know if I can eat whey either, so I just try to make up my own recipes.......wish me luck!!! jayney

Hey, making up your own recipes from the foods that you enjoy is the BEST way to get into the Zone!

For me, that was a big hurdle, because many of the foods that I loved were unfavorables. But, as I go along, I find that I have developed new tastes, new favorites.

LOL about the cottage cheese! Before the Zone, I rarely ate that stuff, but now it is one of my "staples". I love to serve thawed-from-frozen-blueberries and almonds over it!

You don't need luck! You are doing just fine!

hey, crancat, I loooove cottage cheese but it doesn't love me, my stomach growls, I don't do dairy well. some ricotta works a bit better, goat cheese works. Your fruit and nut cottage cheese sounds delicious.

I love my cottage cheese/blueberries/almonds. You can do a similar snack if you replace the cottage cheese with ricotta (although higher in fat).
