If you are looking for the official favforable foods list, log onto www.drsears.com and look under the Zone Resources tab. You will find the favorables food list there.

Hi,
Try this link: http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bi..._search.pl
It's the USDA Nutrient food database. |

i was actually looking specifically for the database that drsears and some other sites such as Zoneperfect use. Basically, it has a list of all foods and has its block attributes. I am a software developer and i'm looking to develop something for myself so i can keep a zone reference with me at all times. |

Hello Ronc1974,
I have been looking for a zone reference for my pocket pc for ever so long! I would really appreciate if you would share your database with me, or you can put it on www.handango.com as a shareware. You can email me dusicedusice@yahoo.com since private messaging has been disabled.
Many thanks,

I found this website that may be useful in finding a foods glycemic index.
www.glycemicindex.com
I think if a person has some experience of life in the zone, you can easily figure out how much of a food is a "block"
Hope it is helpful.

Is the zone food block guide updated and correct?
If you look at raw chopped onions it says 1cup=1block.
but in dr. sears`book top 100 zone foods and Omega RX zone 1.5cup=1block.
But his older book the Age Free Zone again it shows 1Cup=1block.
Which is the latest and most accurate food block guide? |

I double checked the USDA to see what 1 cup of onion is for carb content, and it is 9 grams, so yes the list on the site is more update and accurate.
Thanks. |
