about once a week i skip my zone dinner and spurge on junk food. i eat whatever i want from candybars and milk to full pasta dinner. is it a waste of good money to eat my fishoil after this dinner or will the high insulin from my non-zone meal overpower the good affects of the fish oil. also since i am taking 1 teaspoon of fish oil per day should i have 1/2 teaspoon in the morning and 1/2 in the evening, or does it not matter if i take it all at once?

If I skipped my FO every day I indulged in non-Zone-friendly treats, there'd be a lot more fish in the sea! The benefits of PGFO are not directly related to insulin/glucose balance. But I'd say that taking your fish oil is a good idea every day, even if (especially if?) you chase it with candy. Some people complain of stomach or gut ache from a ffull daily dose of FO. Splitting your day's allotment into two servings helps. I take half before breakfast and the other half before supper and have no more discomfort.

I'd also say to take it anyways. Not an expert, but it's probably better for your body if you get regular doses of FO. But that's just my two cents.
