Can you tell us more about the Live Zone Chat? Are there specific hours when this chat is available? |

I am not sure where they have "hidden" the hormonal chart. It is also known as the 4 hour test. After eating a zoned meal, you should see how you are feeling 4 hours later. If no hunger, then the meal was hormonally correct for you. But, if you are feeling hunger, then decide if you have mental clarity or not. If you are mentally clear, then you probably didn't have enough carb in your last meal and you need to have more. However, if you are hungry and lethargic, mentally foggy, unfocused, then you had too much carb in your meal and you need to eat less carb. All of this is assuming that your meal was a properly balanced Zone meal with lean protein, monounsaturated fat, and favorable carbs. Hope that helps a bit. |

If after four hours I am hunry and irascibly irritable. Does this mean I had too many carbs or too few?
I also experience gargantuous hunger a few hours after the bedtime snack and often cheat at this time, so my weight loss has been slow to non-existent (I am 5'6" and weight 196.) Any suggestions? I have already shaved down any high carb snacks like fruits. There seems to be no solution.

Joanna, it means you've had either too many carbs or too many unfav carbs. Change most of your C to fav veggies and berries, and drop one C block from each meal. About the bedtime snack, you should be asleep several hours after you eat it. If you’re waking up in the middle of the night hungry, it means either you aren’t in the Zone yet (most likely the case, from the other info in your post about hunger after meals) or you aren’t eating enough blocks each day to meet your protein requirement. You can easily check that by putting your stats into the block calculator: http://www.zonediet.com/BodyFatZone...fault.aspx |

Barbara, I think the Zone Chat being discussed here is the feature at the top right of this page that allows you to chat one on one with someone at Zone Labs. |

Barbara, I have done the Live Chat. You click the box at the top right, and then a Zone professional comes on the screen. You can ask questions, and they do their best to type back the answer to you. It is an interactive session, and so if the answer leaves you with more questions, you can keep on chatting. It is pretty neat! |

Yes, you will be the only one in the chat until a zone representative comes along. You will either get a personal response from a representative, or you will get a message stating that the chat is not available at the time. You won't be interacting with other zoners, just with the zone rep. |
