HI, I have been following the zone for almost a year because I have hipoglycemia. Now I am 2 months pregnant and not sure how I should modified my diet.
I currently feel sick most of the time, so I find it very dificult to eat (BUT I'll do it). I just want to know some tips for balancing my food due to my babies requirements.

My zone doctor suggested me to
I was 9 block +one (when excersising). my doctor asked me to increased to 11-13 blocks (is not to much?)
increase my intake of OMEGA 3-3-3 plus EICO 1-1-1
    Plus vitamine C 500-500
    vitamine E 400u

But I am afraid to take the vitamines due to my baby.
Is there a specific book with information for the pregnancy...and after pregnancy adjustement?
It will be good to have some links or discussion on how to continue with the zone with all the hormonal changes.

    Thanks

    Sue

    Mar,

11 blocks is the daily minimum for an adult female. Pregnant women, and also breastfeeding mothers, require a minimum of 13 or 14 blocks daily. You can find this pregnancy block recommendation with a search of this site.

Dr Sears recommends fish oil for pregnant women. It's not necessary to split you dose into 3 smaller doses daily. It's fine to take it in one dose daily, all at the same time. Either type, Omega RX or Eico Rx, or a combination of the two, should be fine.

Lost 100 lbs 18 yrs ago, off BP meds, thanks to the Zone diet and Zone fish oil.
