While at the mall Christmas shopping with my wife this past Friday, we stopped in to a eatery called RUBY TUESDAYS as they have a great salad bar. They now provide each tablke with a little brochure (along with the menu) that neatly discusses the positives of a low glycemic carb lifestyle! They give the reasoning and tell the differences between High and low glycemic load carbs. This brochure has a discussion from an MD touting the life altering wellness benefits of a low glycemic carb diet. Adiditionally, they delve into consuming more monounsaturated fats and tout the fact that they use Canola Oil exclusivelly in their meal preperation. Strangely, when they reference diets plans, they only metion Atkins, Sugar Busters and South Beach. Hmmmmmmmm..... Their menu specifically denotes which combinations are healthy, based on the carbs involved. They have also listed to total "net carbs" for all of their meals and give a nice little explanation as to how "net carb" toitals are calculated. All in all I was impressed...the world is finally catching on! Jim
