I know you guys can help me!

I have recently started the Zone, and am finding it very difficult to keep 'cooking' and preparing all these meals. I need to be able to find some prepared foods, with maybe some additives, that fit the bill. Or am I barking up the wrong tree? I don't think I know how to read a label to tell me what the 'blocks' are. For instance - how much fat content equals one block? If a label reads 1g of fat, what does that mean compared to the other ingredients and as far as the zone is concerned.
Sorry to go on a bit - difficult to explain myself in writing!
    Thanks Julie

    Hello Julie:

First off PLEASE try to stay away from foods with additives, I know organics and naturals are higher moneywise but in the end they sure are much more worth it. :ermm:

The blocks are divided this way:
    1Block Fat= 3grams.
    1Block Protein= 7grams.
    1Block Carbs. = 9grams.
Most women should eat 11 blocks a day (3breakfast, 3lunch, 1snack, 3dinner, 1bedtime snack) and should not wait longer than 4 to 5 hours between meals.

If you click on the Yellow Zone Living Tab from this website and follow to the Quick Start Guide you will find much helpful information on the blocks including a "Food Block Guide" witch will tell you how much food there is per block for those "Unlabeled" foods as well as explaining much more about the block method as well.

    Hope this helps!
