team cali, i'm from southern california. glad to see so many folks starting the zone. my advice is to not get bogged down in the details and to 1. think before you eat and 2. just try and stay close. eat the protein, add more fruits and veggies for carbs and eat some fat at every meal.

this diet is the real deal. you now have total control over losing fat, gaining muscle, feeling better and being better.

Hi! I'm also from Cali and I'm starting today...am I still on time to join you guys??...I'm a vegetarian and I the zone has really helped me in the past...I realized it's time to get back on it.
I'm 27, don't need to loose much weight, but I do want to stop craving sweets before going to bed.

Patrick in Los Angeles! Getting back into the zone after being away for many years. I'm am combining it this time with solid exercise that includes strength training and employing the use of Fish Oils and Minerals. Would love to be part of the group! Hi, I'm in Southern Cali!
This is the end of my 2nd day in the Zone. I am 31, had a baby boy last February, so I'm trying to melt off the extra pounds asap! So far I'm loving the food, feeling so satisfied and not craving sweets. Great to have support.

No. Calif. here.....bay area......trying to get back on the zone. 10 yr ago I lost a lot on it..... slowly, well you know the rest....so now here I go again! I don't eat wheat or milk....last time around I was veggie....now I eat meat. So it is like learning the diet all over again. janet

Hey Leroy, you're in Antelope Valley! I used to have a lot of family in that area (in-laws), but they've all moved to other palces now. They were in Mojave, Cal. City, and North Edwards. My husband graduated form Boron High School!

Hello, I'm from San Francisco!! I've been recently diagnosed as intolerant to gluten and soy. i only eat fish (no meat or poultry) and sometimes find it hard to combine at every meal. I would love to share recipies, stories, ideas with y'all! My doc is a huge supporter of dr. sears and had me read a few of his books to get me into the idea of the zone...i don't follow it super duper strict but could if i had the right support.

Hi Sue, oh yes the beautiful town of Mojave. Actually it is quite nice, but since they redirected the highway 58 some of the businesses have suffered from losing the trucker traffic. I have lived in the AV since 1988 moving here from Fontana. The Valley has certainly grown from when I moved here, and some even complain about the traffic hahaha.

Leroy, wow, you've been their 20 yrs! Yes, I've heard it's changed a lot. Traffic, lol!
