[b:c38a9f5ff8]Breakfast pancake[/b:c38a9f5ff8] From Anne-Marie's kitchen 1 cup egg beaters (3 P) 1/3 cup dry large flake Quaker oatmeal (2C) 1 cup fresh raspberries (1C) or 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 2 tsps. olive oil (9 grams fat) Mix together egg beaters and oatmeal. Let sit about 5 minutes until oatmeal softened. Add raspberries. Heat 1 tsp. olive oil in non-stick omelette skillet. Add egg/oatmeal mixture and cook on low heat covered. When nicely browned, carefully lift and add 1 more tsp olive oil. Flip over and finish cooking. This makes a huge egg/oatmeal pancake. I sweetened with Splenda and cut into 4 pieces. You could also cut back on the raspberries and then add a raspberry fruit spread. This is also very good with Atkins syrup. This can also be prepared with 6 egg whites. Yum. 3 blocks

Hello Mary Coral! I just saw your post and your description that you would like to lose 100 lbs, etc. I just wanted to let you know that IMO this is entirely possible and you have chosen the best system available for doing so and keeping it off long term. From what I've read, this program should also be excellent for helping to stabilize your blood sugars. I speak from experience regarding the weight loss. I am 34 years old. I have lost 130 lbs (120 of which on the zone). I started at 275 lbs and am now in my normal BMI range at 145 lbs. I lost 120 pounds of that in just a little over a year on the zone...amazing...and wonderful. I have more energy than ever (and even found that my energy increased shortly after starting the zone...even while I was still quite heavy). The zone way of eating has completely changed my life for the better. Actually, my whole family (immediate and extended) is benefiting. Many of my family and friends are now following the zone as well. In the beginning it may seem like it takes a lot of energy to learn the zone and to prepare meals, etc....but with time, you will find that the zone truly gives you energy rather than taking it away. Best of luck to you, Mary Coral. :-) Donna (starz)[/b]
