I currently use Vitasoy unsweetended. But I am trying to find a brand that is unsweetened and reduced fat. I have looked all over and can't find anything. They are either unsweetened and full fat or reduced fat but sweetened. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I am currently experimenting with making my own ( without a so milk maker). It is pure. Would you be interested in a recipe to make your own? cheers Top

Maybe that helps a bit.

I have found a wonderful product her in Oz that is very cheap. It is soy isolate protein powder and costs $15 for 1000gms and yields 82gms protein to 100gms - compared to a typical protein powder costing $35 for 450 gms yeliding around 74gms protein per 100gms. It is strange stufff an only mixes with fresh soy milk but is very useful for topping up the protein. I currently use it mixed with soy milk and peanut butter in my oats. Also in a variant of Anne marie's fudge. i did a search for "soy isolate protein powder" and there were many sites listed. Hopefully you can find one that suits you. cheers Top

Hi, Top Boffin The Zoniest Soy milk on the market in Oz (at least that I have found) is Sanitarium 'So Good Lite'. It's ratio (protein/available carb) is 0.77. I think if you make your own it might be a bit high in fat. SGL is just a trifle low in fat for the Zone but one could always add a drop of olive oil? This one is also the nicest tasting Soy milk. Cheers Barbara

Hi Barula, it amazes me how different the soy 'milks" are - I buy the lite, cant remember now which is which but if you read the ingredients one of them adds some oil and another adds sweetener (either sugar or maltodextrin etc). I have given up the idea of trying to make it. Straining it was just a pain... I now use the soy isolate power. It is more for use as a protein powder that is 1/5 th the cost of the commercial protein powders. its is almost 100% pure soy protein and far easier way of getting my soy intake for the day cheers Top
